Release Dates: Lupe Fiasco, Cam'ron, Saigon, Pharoahe Monch
It's pretty difficult to remain consistent with Rap Release Dates. Why you ask? Because every time we think an album is an actual album, it becomes a free mixtape. That's great for fans who may or may not already pay for music, but it's a bit of a nightmare when it comes to announcing the dates to our DX readers.
We know a few albums are certain, such as Nicki Minaj's Pink Friday 2: Roman Reloaded happening today, along with De La Soul's Plug 1 & Plug 2's concept album First Serve.
Dubstep king Bassnectar is dropping his album Vava Voom on April 10th. His title track features none other than Lupe Fiasco.
Remember, Lupe sampled Bassnectar's remix of Ellie Goulding's "Lights" for the track "Lightwork." Speaking of Lupe, he announced that Food & Liquor 2 is well on its way, so that's a plus for fans of the Fiasco.
Meanwhile, Pharoahe Monch is looking to put a little Rock into his life, dropping Rock Vs. Disco sometime soon.
We're seeing that on June 5th, Cam'ron is dropping a project called More Gunz Less Buttah, with Kool Keith dropping Love & Danger the same day.
Looking way ahead, Saigon will be delivering Bread and Circuses on September 11th. A week later, Skyzoo's A Dream Deferred takes the September 18th slot.
There are plenty more releases in between, so here's to hoping they all stick.
