Ja Rule Pleads Guilty, This Time for Tax Evasion
As if he wasn't already in the dog house -- and, in fact, headed to the jailhouse this summer -- Ja Rule pleaded guilty to tax evasion on Tuesday, promising Uncle Sam that he would pay up, to the tune of $1.1 million dollars, for moneys earned between 2004 and 2008.
According to Reuters, Ja Rule faces three counts of failing to file a tax return and is scheduled to appear for sentencing on June 13. If convicted, he could serve as much as one year of jail time for each count.
Ja Rule is already headed to the slammer on June 8 -- one day after dropping his new album 'The Renaissance Project' -- for a conviction on a criminal weapons charge. Which means, he's got a lot of living to do between now and then... lawful living, that is.
